I just finished it and beyond any doubt, this is one of the most beautiful Korean Tv Series I have ever watched.
So Ji Sub and Gon Hyo Jin is one of the best couples of KDramas. They act perfectly.

This drama is a sensational ghost & love story that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout 17 episodes. Every episode was unique and special. It never bores you and at the end I am sure that you will say 'I wish there were much more episodes that 17' .

I had a very high expectation of this drama because of previous Hong Sister's drama. It's probably because of it that I don't give this drama a very high rating.
I was expecting more comedy and more passionate kissing scenes since it's horror rom-com.

I don't like ghost at all. They are just not my cup of tea. But after hearing a lot of recommendation from drama addict fellows, I finally give it a try.

Overall, it was cute. The story is unique. It's a bit slow pacing for me though. The kiss is a little weak, I want more... I! Want! More!!! :)
Like the other Hong sisters' dramas, this one has a lot of meta and wordplay.
It has a sweet ending.
My favorite of Hong sister's drama is still The Greatest Love.
But this show is not bad... Not bad at all.

Ok, first I want to say that I was really amused by this drama. Since I've watched other dramas from the same writers I was really afraid they would do the same mistakes they did in other dramas I've watched from them, everybody that watched "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho" or "BIG", for example, might know what I'm talking about. Even though they disappointed me in some dramas, I decided to give a chance to this one. It was totally worth it.

First I want to say that this drama is by far the best one of the Hong Sisters that I've watched, but I still think it could be better. They can totally hook you up with their story, especially the first half, but they sometime put to much "turnarounds" in the drama that's totally unnecessary, that's what mostly happened in this drama (only after episode 12). There were episodes that I totally got tired of because things happened, but then got wrong, and then was going to go right, but one of the protagonists decided it would be better if it didn't happen, and then the other one didn't agree, and... @________@ Blablabla...

For the rest of the drama, it was really good. Even the end was good! They explain everything, why Gong Shil see dead people, why Joong Won is her shelter, YAY, they explained why things happened in this drama, no questions unanswered (I think). :DD And they gave most of the characters an decent end, like, not only showed briefly what happened to them, but developed an satisfactory end for them.

For the characters, I think they were perfect for this story. If we tried to put them in other drama, it wouldn't work, they are unique for this one narrative. If I were to analyse Gong Shil or Joong Won outside of the context of this drama I don't think I would have sympathized with them. I think the construction of the characters that fitted this drama so perfectly was definitely the high point of the drama. And I loved the supporting characters, especially Kang Woo and Yi Ryung. ;?;

The OST was totally perfect, but I gave 9 points because they overly used some songs through the drama in moments I think it didn't matched. To the point were, for me, the song lost the meaning. :/

I wouldn't watch again, for reasons that are personal, like: I don't want to. But this don't make the drama bad, since the drama was complete, I don't have this necessity to watch again. I'm satisfied with.

In Overall, I only gave 8 because I expect that the Hong sisters will continue to get better and do better stories, better endings, better romances, I expect a lot more from them in the next drama, this one was definitely the best until now, but I don't think that it's their apex yet. Anyway, it's really worth watching. ?

Being a relatively new drama addict (I've been watching dramas for almost a year now and have slowly been creeping up on the "that girl is crazy" list at work.) I don't think it is fair for me to post a review but I'm writing one anyway.

Master's Sun is a Hong Sisters drama and as everyone is well aware watching their dramas is like taking crack. Their dramas tend to have a lot of inside jokes, random fantasy scenes, and are bent on making you laugh more than cry. Cool, I'm down with that.

Also, this drama is bursting with amazing actors. The main couple played by So Ji Sub & Gong Hyo Jin we've seen before in another Hong Sisters drama Greatest Love (fantastic drama btw). I've recently gotten to the point in my obsession that I can recognize actors/actresses I've seen in other well known dramas. I was amazed at how many faces I recognized.

That being said Master's Sun really solidified my adoration of So Ji Sub & Gong Hyo Jin working together. At first So Ji Sub felt like he was replaying his original role in Greatest Love (calculating, annoying, full of himself, Son of a B-) and Gong Hyo Jin felt a lot like her role in Pasta but instead of saying "Cheif!" all the time it was "CEO!" As Master's Sun started rolling I saw the actors shedding those previous roles and falling into the roles of Tae Yang & Joon Goon. Their chemistry on screen was off the charts and I liked how they eventually made their two different worlds coincide.

The ghost stories were not my thing. I don't do horror. And I'm such a wimp that even the harmless ghosts in Master's Sun still scared me. I liked how the "ghost of the week" wasn't just filler and was sometimes tied to the main plot.

The thing about this drama that makes it a Hong Sisters best (in my eyes at least) is the way the conflict unfolds. It isn't some outside force keeping the couple apart (like scary mothers or jilted girlfriends) or even the own couples stupidity (But I want to save you from myself!) And for that this drama will be re watched again.

Overall a cute Rom-com and we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief that it wasn't another Big.

Really Outstanding...pandteshik chelgowwo chukkessso

^_^
Each episodes is really makes my heart flutter...many drama this year is inspired by a story of people that can see ghost/souls, but this one is the best. The romance is on my flavour, Jogoon & Taeyang chemistry is Chaegu...Yiryeong way in getting close with Kangwoo is cuteeee. The Comedy in the story really funny, especially when Gumsemariga Dure Pullo ^@^ the Laugh is unstoppable haaahhaaaa.
The Thrill is pyoulluu ya...b'coz i don't really like getting horror on my screen, but I really like handle it in this drama.

The other characters also give me smiling face,,, Taeyang unni, the Vice President, Lee cheap mouth, Kim sipjang, etc.

Wednesday and Thursday become the day that impatiently awaited, until this thirteenth episode I've re watch this drama for the sambonce,,,
@_@ I've completely bewitched by this drama.

Positive:
1. Seo in Guk/Kim Yoo-ri-I Couple. They stole the show as they provide the much needed cuteness and sparks in the drama. Their scenes are even more fun than the main couple.
2. Episodes 1, 5 and 12 were grade A stories, maybe an A+ for ep 5.

Negative:
1. Theme is unoriginal. Nothing is wrong in using previous materials as long as it hasn't been used for quite a while. But we have an overload already of the same theme in just recent times. ex. Hello Ghost, Chilling Romance, Ghost Whisperer, etc.
2. The structure is very much the same as the other Hong Sisters drama "The Greatest Love". the only difference is that this time Kong Hyo-jin can see ghosts. So ji Sub = Do Ko Jin, Seo In Guk = the Doctor (who also likes Kong Hyo-jin), Kim Yoo-ri-I = Yoo In na (who also likes the 2nd male lead and also an acquiantance with Kong Hyo-jin in the past, and Ding Dong is here but was just split into 2 boys.
3. Speaking of Do Ko...ehhm So ji Sub, i think he is one of the best actors in Korea, but his take on the main character is just a copy of Do Ko Jin in TGL. A non regular viewer of Kdrama in our place who happens to saw TGL mistook So Ji Sub as the same male lead in TGL. I could not agree more.
4. The guy character that knew Kong Hyo-jin in the past. That was such a weird casting. I mean he was just an add on character. He should already be there in the earlier episodes if they want for us to feel something about the guy. That was really unnecessary.
5. The drama lacks a great antagonist role. The main couples love story was not challenged at all, in fact they are the only ones who are making their situation hard.
6. Last 2 episodes were a drag..Almost all the issues were already resolved at this time. No more "whats gonna happen next" excitement/anticipation. Just See "My Girl", "Delightful Girl Chunhyang", "Fantastic couple" endings and you know why this drama just pales in comparison with other Hong sisters drama.

Fun ghost stories but the romance was superfluous not vital.

I love ghost Kdramas. I like the romance ones, the scary ones, the funny ones...all of them. This particular drama gets a lot of good reviews and it was definitely fun to watch. However, unlike most people I really felt like the romance leads were not well matched at all. Maybe it was his weird asymmetrical haircut, but dude just didn't really seem to logically click with the chick. They made it work, but I think that was 100% her own chemistry and he just sort of existed next to her.

The ghost stories in this drama were a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the way the female lead interacted with each of the side characters. Her energy was really great in this drama...though the initial premise of her needing to cling to the lead dude was a little shallow, it definitely provided some comedy and a little romantic tension.

My biggest complaint about this otherwise light and fun watch is the ending. Some of these Kdramas seem to do this weird trope where initially the chick is super clingy but once she wins the dude she's like peace-out for a good year or two while he sits around lamenting his loss and then eventually she comes back. It's a weird interlude that makes no logical sense to me at all. She still comes back...always...but I just can't figure out why it's even necessary. Like...bitch you WON why you running away now? I also really really struggled with the accent of the dude she ran away with at the end. He talks through his teeth and it was super unattractive to me and difficult to watch. What's the point of being pretty if your jaw is apparently wired shut? I've tried to replicate it (because I was for sure high) talking through my own teeth, but it's really awkward and difficult and I just can't wrap my brain around it. Dude was a snake with a weird, shallow, unnecessary story arc and I didn't like him at all.

I MIGHT rewatch this again someday just to see all the fun ghosts and their storylines again.

I've never watched Gong Hyo Jin's and So Ji Sub's dramas, and I heard it was their first collaboration, so I was pretty much hesitant on watching... However, I was taken aback when I started it. It was SO good... A totally refreshing plot in the land of K dramas. Like have you ever heard of RomCom + Horror dramas? Ok back to the main point... The storyline was pretty good, and watching each episode will either leave me with laughter or tears, however I got a little lost at the end... Thus only giving a 9.5 for the plot. Oh, not to mention, the chemistry Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub was sizzling good... and I pretty much ship them! #sogong
Also, there were several supporting characters that were interesting... Such as Secretary Kim! He, too, ships Sogong (in the drama)!

Overall... I would say this drama is a must-watch. The OST was really good and whenever they were played during the drama my tears would start gushing out! I'm still having drama withdrawal symptoms... The show' just awesomely good! Recommended to all!

(P.S I've been falling in love with So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin after watching the drama... And I still ship them!!!)

Still my favorite drama so far. This was probably the 3rd or 4th dramas I watched, when I first started watching K-dramas. It made such an impression on me. I became a Gong Hyo Jin fan after watching this.

It was delightful. The acting, I've learned I to expect nothing but the best from Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji-sub. I felt like I was watching a movie and I didn't want it to end. I really don't have words to describe all that was. All I can say is that, there needs to be more dramas like this one. All stereotypes need not apply. Thank you for making this. It never gets boring from start to finish, this was a well told story.

Beautifully done. Epic. It's not your grandma's drama baby.

Love it. At first I thought that this will be the usual supernatural/romance drama with random plot. But after I started to watch it it became a perfect hideout from daily routine.
Story line is not unique the beginning was very good unfortunately the end left me with some kind of emptiness. Maybe because I expected more form this drama.
The leading cast is very good.
Ost is perfect.
Would recommend it to watch it if you like creepy ghosts mixed with comedy and romance.
Korean Ghost Whisperer? Go for it!~
