Unexpected Falling (2022)

This same cast played in "The Confidence (The Controllers)". The ML played a criminal that was obsessed with the FL. The FL was very smart and wasn't a push over. She finessed him right to the end. It wasn't the best written script but their chemistry together was amazing. And some of the espionage triangles were genius. You can find it with subtitles on YouTube.

Same writing\directing team, same genre, same ML and FL. Unexpected Falling is just as good, if not even better, so if you liked The Confidence, you'll like Unexpected Falling as well.

Ruan Zhen Zhen has led a simple and happy life under the protection of her financial guru husband. Everything disappears in a flash after the death of her husband. Forced out of her bubble, Ruan Zhen Zhen is left to shoulder a huge amount of debt. Suddenly, lawyer Gao Jun walks into her life. Ruan Zhen Zhen may be innocent but she is not dumb. She keeps her guard up in the face of the sudden intruder and remains skeptical towards his enthusiasm to help. Will she ever open up her heart?

The background and premise of the plot is almost exactly similar except one is the husband disappeared/ran away and another is a sudden “accidental” death….

Only key difference is one is basically a legal drama, another is more of a thriller/mystery….

They are both the same genre. Both have plot twists, and both involve impersonations, crime, and mystery.

Have a similar overall feel. Same genre, and both have plot twists and involve crime and crime solving.

Something about the feel of both shows seems similar. Melodramatic and the coloring of everything. Mature leads and has a lot of thrilling situations.
