came for the men, stayed for the plot

Now to preface, I have not watched the original Money Heist.
I originally watched the first part because i love political/crime thrillers and because the cast includes some dilfs but im really glad i stayed through the end. I came for Kim Sung Oh and stayed for the plot.
If you liked the first part, you'll love the second part. You literally HAVE TO watch this if you watched the first part because TONS of thing happen and character development is top tier. The amount of emotional trauma this caused me (in a good way) is crazy. Kim Sung Oh, my son, bf and husband, was so good playing the north korean police officer. just had to mention it.
If youre a Kim Ji Hoon or Park Hae Soo simp you MUST finish watching it because the men's acting in this is sooo good.
As for the actual plot, whatever you think is gonna happen next, will not happen. This show will leave you questioning your prediction skills. Ending was satisfying and that's all i'll say about that.
This show really had me switching sides. Am i on the robbers' side or the polices' side? Idk and i still dont know.
Overall super entertaining. I hate that my predictions were wrong because i like being right. Whoever wrote the original plot to Money Heist and the Korean variation has a huge wrinkly gigantic brain with many brain cells because wow, i loved this show!

A brutal realization behind wealth

Finally the conclusion for season 1 has arrived, which comes in an even greater setting and more massive combats that are beautifully shot, putting all stakes on the table for a final blow to secure the heist. Here we get a clearer picture on the political ideology held by both the robbers team and the reunification authorities. It serves as a revolution of sorts, questioning the fairness on the medium for distribution of wealth, a system that has been existing for millennia, which could be easily manipulated by the privileged and creates a big gap that leaves the vulnerable in dark, for ages. The closing sequence is really all about it and it speaks volumes, a visionary too good to be a reality, like living in a dream that can only be done fictionally.

BETTER THAN PART 1! A GOOD REMAKE

As a huge La Casa De Papel fan, i was both anxious and excided to watch the remake. Part 1 was okay i have already write a review about it, but part 2 was phenomenal.

I actually believe that not only it was a great remake but if you compare it with the original it had better flow and depth, characters had better development, many things that the original did wrong the remake did right, the most important is that the characters were better written and the plot didnt had holes. I truly thing that if this one had come first, everyone would love it. Many think that a remake can never be good but this drama is the exeption.

The plot was the same but with added things that fix problems the original had, the relationship between the professor and the inspector and the romance between Tokyo and Rio etc. They included details that were very important after all and handle some things different. I dont want to spoil anything but i am glad they didnt keep some stuff same.

99% of the characters were better written and i liked them more, the 1% is the professor... I am sad that the only bad thing i could find is the professor, an icon og character that was ruined, i really dont know if the actor couldnt pull this off or if the og is to hard to imitated. Everyone else was amazing. One of the best things the remake did was adding Seoul, one of the best characters and badass af, i think some traits the original Tokyo had were given to Seoul. I am not going to write my thoughts on every character ( i have already write a review about part 1 that talks about characters and the north vs south plot).

I have to say this is a great remake and you should watch it regardless if you have watch the og or not.

Phenomenon!

First of all. I am speechless with this series.
It’s DAEBAK. The twist. The characters. The build-up. Romances. The antagonists and the main characters are outstanding!
I haven’t watched the original MONEY HEIST. I’m an addict towards Korean shows which is why I decided to watch this and I was craving some thriller/suspense, and I do not regret any single episode ever.
This is prob by far the best suspense series I’ve watched so far in Koreans and the mains are just attractive both personality and looks.
Each episodes excites me and makes me want to not stop.
After noticing there’s only 6 episodes, it was easy to finish it but then the freaking cliff hanger. But the time goes by quick and new eps came. & it came on my bday🫶 Haha.
I honestly look the chemistry of TOKYO with everyone. I love her loyalty and her bitch - innocent acts.
Of course come characters I fffff hate but that’s truly shows how good of an actor/actress they are.
Holy SHT. The ending was amazing. I don’t want to spoil it but…. Yung first kita Nila and first communication were the same PeRO sa ibang Bansa and it’s giving me a. CLOY Vibe.
I wish there was a more romance- scene between Tokyo and Rio.
Definitely watched TOKYO on the movie called “THE CALL” it’s so good. It’s also a thriller suspense movie.
Overall, I’m happy I watched this series. I loved it. I hope they receive awards regardless of remaking it in Korean.

Truly….. an amazing show.

Not As Good As Original Version, but a decent watch

LIKES:
Cinematography, locations, colour palette.
Music content didn't stand out, but wasn't bad either.
Cast for the most part was well chosen.
Better writing than in the first part of this show.
Plot, although not really original other than the North & South Korea parts, got better in part 2.
FX for the most part were well done; wounds, blood, explosions, etc.
More character backstory for part 2, compared to part 3, but little character growth (however wasn't expecting much due to it being an action movie).
Fight sequences for the most part looked fluid and were good.

DISLIKES:
Production, as per usual with most dramas done in Korea, no film stabilizer was used, causing the camera to shake a lot, when it wasn't necessary and made watching difficult sometimes.
Director made reaction times of the cast overly delayed and not in a good, suspenseful way. Not sure if was just how the actress did some scenes, but she seemed to overact for Woo Jin's character.
Acting: kissing scenes were gross; the guys ate the face of their partner.
Music often too loud and you just couldn't hear what the actors/actresses were saying. Even during narration parts, you couldn't hear it due to the music playing. I had to switch to reading subtitles to understand what they said.
Editing: more so in part 2, than in part 1, were the use of cables. Sometimes it was overly obvious. CGI for some driving scenes was terrible too.

OVERALL: It was a fast, easy watch and got better in part 2 (more backstory on the characters, more action, attempt at story twists). The acting was okay. They made it easy to root for the criminals and want to learn more about their backstories. Not the best written or produced in this genre but acceptable. I would recommend watching this if you don't have high expectations or are a fan of an actor or actress. I wont be rewatching and there were no truly memorable scenes. The ending was satisfactory.

Cat and Mouse Game Continues

I will keep this short, S2 does not disappoint and it is SO GOOD. S2 is just as high octane as S1. I watched S1 and the original Money Heist Spain so this is a well loved series. Yes, the plot is absolutely over the top and the rationality of some of the decisions and situations are questionable but they do a good job keeping you on the edge of your seat and there's no time to be bored. The plot twists and turns in many ways with some completely unexpected, the viewer doesn't get lost and its a testament to the story tellers doing a good job with the execution of the story. The actresses and actors were top notch in their acting and played their parts very well, the back story development of some of the characters keeps you emotionally vested in them and when some don't make it, you feel the loss. The cinematography is top notch, there are slow motion bullet effects in some of the action sequences.

Very worthy watch!

Money Heist Korea is bad

Yikes I didn't know you cloud screw such an interesting concept so painfully boring. Rushed, Forced, Underdeveloped and Unnecessary is some of the words I can use to describe this show. This show takes something with so much potential and just ruins it the characters and relationships are under developed and worst of all boring and the plot is rushed it never feels like anything ever goes well for the gang and quite frankly the Professor feels like he doesn't have a clue about anything and just seems stupid most because moments that are played out like they are so smart are mostly just dump luck. Hands down my favorite part of the show was Berlin and Seoul wish it had been developed better but like it goes in this show it wasn't I found their relationship intriguing. The acting was bad and pretty much nobody had chemistry. The relationships are so underdeveloped that if you told me they will literally never see or think about each other I would believe you. and don't get me started on that really awkward ending. Remakes are rarely good and this is just an other example of it this show had potential but it has no identity is it a remake of La Casa de Papel or is it and show about the North and South Korea we don't know for it to be both it either needed better writers or more episodes maybe two seasons.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area (2022) – I have the same review the part 1 and 2 since I just watch it continuously. I didn't have a reference or comparison with this drama since I have not seen the Spain version which is the original. The drama has a lot of budget, it is expensive looking and the camera feels high end so as a watcher it's really nice to look at. The characters in the drama have different characteristics and also the actors playing them have a really good reputation as good actors and actresses in South Korea so I am in awe since I know most of them. It's an okay drama overall, not the best for me, but I cannot pinpoint on what exactly I am looking for, I don't know it feels like there is lacking in the drama.

A good hit but not a home run

They literally managed to make korean version of an already world famous show that doesn't look like some low grade knock off but is actually a good show. The story was engaging and keeps you on the edge as they changed quite a lot of stuff from the original show be it the character arcs or their backstories.

The only letdown for me was that the characters in the show, I could never make the emotional connection with the characters as it happened with the original. The characters of the robbers weren't that memorable too that you would talk about them even after the show is completed. If you go for the OG one , the wild, feisty and sometimes self destructive Tokyo or the cold and psychotic Berlin or the bossy and matriarchy loving Nairobi or Denver's weird laughter or Professor's voice, swag and his glasses flick. There were many memorable characters that people still talk cuz they had a long lasting impression, something that this show missed.

Otherwise it is a damn good show which doesn't looks draggy but thrilling till the end.

Review I Ceco K

This is my short Review for Money Heist Korea.
Very important, my rating is for both seasons together. It would be slightly better, if I would rate season 2 by itself, but for me both parts are one. So this will be my final rating.
If you want to see a more precise Review, please visit my video. Of course my review will be without any spoilers :)

wow. so good LOL

i know this is like a remake of the american tv show, but idk i've never watched that one nor do i want to watch it

the story (though technically not original) is so good and enticing, with twists like every episode.

acting/cast
the cast was so cool bruh they all seemed to fit their roles and everything, although i did wish there was more romance between the couple and the other two (iykyk)

music
uh didn't really pay attention, there was some like weird sad music that was confusing me but yeah

rewatch value
i don't really rewatch dramas anyways, so just ignore this rating

overall
amazing drama, really recommend (there is a lot of like guns and shooting and blood in some episodes, so just be aware of that)

A Fun Ride With A Likeable Cast

I don't like the categories for rating on here. My 4 categories are Acting/Cast, Writing, Direction/SFX/Music, Entertainment Value.

I normally don't like heist plots , but I love hostage plots. I finally decided to give this one a shot. By the way, I haven't seen the original, so I can't compare them. Also, I'm reviewing both parts of this drama as a whole.

Acting/Cast: Overall, I love the casting choices. Park Hae Soo (박해수), who plays Berlin, is an especially strong actor. I've seen him previously as the lead role in Prison Playbook and I loved him in that, so I knew he'd kill this role, too. Right when Berlin was introduced, I knew he'd be my favorite character; he has such a powerful presence about him. The rest of the crew was great, as well. Even the team members that didn't get as much screen time really grew on me. I'd say the only character I really had an issue with was the main female hostage, Yun Mi Seon played by Lee Joo Bin (이주빈). She has this "deer in headlights" look the entire time. Her character was pretty badass technically, but I don't think the actress conveyed that very well. 9/10

Writing: The plot was engaging. I liked the way that they laid the story out so that the audience wouldn't be sure as to what was really going on until it was revealed. I'd say the narration was unnecessary though. Maybe that's just me - I tend to dislike narration. The first half of the drama had red herrings that I think worked very well for the story and made it more exciting. However, in the second half of the drama, the red herrings came to be expected. In consequence, they lost their effectiveness in garnering strong emotions from the audience. Again, the hostage Yun Mi Seon played by Lee Joo Bin (이주빈) nagged at me in this category, too. Her character was strange - it just didn't make sense to me how she was so hung up on gross ass Peter Pettigrew and then she quickly screws another guy she just met. In my opinion, sex scenes never help a drama (and by sex scene, I mean the full-bodied, lingering sex scenes) and that's what happened in this drama. It came across as trashy, not romantic, and it just made me dislike her character even more. Actually, her entire plotline was annoying to me. There's one more sex scene in this drama, but it's not quite as risqué (although I still think it goes on for a little too long). The ending was good - I just wish there was a bit more closure for some of the characters. Throughout the drama, there were some scenes and dialogue that felt a bit cheesy, but whatever, I had fun. That being said, I couldn't help but compare this drama to Snowdrop. There are plot points that are eerily similar. However, Snowdrop has a much more dark and serious tone. I will say that overall, Snowdrop is the stronger drama out of the two and it was able to leave a lasting impression on me as opposed to Money Heist: Korea. 7/10

Direction/SFX/Music: I love the music, the costumes, the mask designs. The drama looks well-produced - good special effects, good camera work. The 'director of the mint' hostage...they did him so dirty with the camera angles. It was hilarious. I will bring up the cheese factor again in this category: There were some really cheesy and unrealistic scenes. I'm particularly referring to the scenes with a lot of gunfire and nobody is getting shot. Then, there was one scene where someone was shot, but instead of dragging the person away from the firefight, they just stayed there and cried. It caused a bit of disconnect for me because it was so contrary to how someone would actually react in a situation like that. 7.5/10

Entertainment Value: Binge worthy for sure. I stopped watching my other dramas so I could binge this one. To be fair though, the other dramas that I was watching aren't an exciting genre like this one. In any case, with this drama, I was dialed in the entire time and I did have a smile on my face a lot while watching. I definitely had fun. However, like I said previously, I would have liked less of an open ending for some of the characters. 9/10

Overall, I gave this drama an 8/10 mainly due to some cheesiness, my issue with the sex scenes, and my issues with the Yun Mi Seon character in general.
