The upcoming thriller mystery K-drama The 8 Show will be available for viewing starting next week.

On April 11, Netflix released a teaser clip of the upcoming K-drama. Through this, it was officially confirmed that the Netflix original K-drama The 8 Show will premiere on May 17. 

The K-drama will depict the happenings when eight participants joined a mysterious show. These eight persons are currently short on money. They got invited to participate in a reality-variety show called Money Game where the only rule is they will stay at a studio with nothing but concrete walls and try to survive for 100 days. The prize money will be divided among them equally after 100 days but they also have to use that money for their necessities that are 1,000 times pricier than normal. The K-drama will be based on the webtoon of the same name created by Bae Jin Soo.

The 8 Show will be led by  Ryu Joon Yeol, Chun Woo Hee, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, Lee Joo Young, Moon Jung Hee, and more. They will be the participants in the money game. 

The upcoming K-drama is the next masterpiece of director Han Jae Rim who also created the hit films  Emergency Declaration, The King, The Face Reader, and more.  

In the newly released teaser video, Ryu Jun Yeol's character Jin Soo opened the scene. He received a red envelope with an invitation letter to participate in the mysterious show. While Jin Soo is finding out about the show, an unknown voice narrates, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience. I now present to you a performance you've never seen before." 

The money game in the teaser video is described as "sell your time for big profit" and also "irresistible but brutal."

As Jin Soo gets to know about the show, he utters, "It's easy money" raising anticipation on how the story will unfold in the mysterious place.
