"Queen of Tears" Takes the Throne to Become Highest-Rated tvN Drama
The South Korean nationwide television network tvN has unveiled the preview of the first episode of its upcoming K-drama "The Heavenly Idol".
"The Heavenly Idol" is a fantasy rom-com that tells the story of a high priest from the heavens Pontifex Lembrary (Kim Min Gue) - regarded as the one with the most powerful divine power. One day, while fighting against a devil, he transfers to Earth and wakes up in the body of a K-pop idol named Woo Yeon Woo - an idol member of a struggling and unpopular boyband Wild Animal which is on the brink of disbanding due to its low success rate.
This unexpected turn of events opens doors to chaos, ultimately giving us a dynamic fantasy rom-com. 
Joining Kim Min Gue on this exciting ride is Go Bo Gyeol, who plays Kim Dal in the K-drama. Kim Dal is Woo Yeon Woo's biggest fan who decides to become Wild Animal's manager to prevent the disbandment.
The drama's cast also includes Lee Jang Woo - the devil Lumena in the body of the vice chairman of RU E&M, Shin Jo Woon, Ye Ji Won - who plays CEO Lim Sun Ja of LLL Entertainment which is in charge of the boyband Wild Animal, Hong Seung Bum (Choi Jung Seo), Shin Myung Sung (Hwang Tae In), and Choi Jae Hyun (Cathy) as the other band members. "The Heavenly Idol" will mark the debut of screenwriter Lee Chun Geum.
When and where to watch the upcoming K-drama "The Heavenly Idol"?
The show will air every Wednesday and Thursday starting from February 15. It will be available to stream on Viu.
