"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
On September 15th, Wavve unveiled character posters and a teaser for The Perfect Deal, an intense kidnapping thriller involving two young men who abduct their friend and demand a 10 billion won ransom.
The character posters released showcase the characters' intense expressions, complemented by bold red text hinting at the unfolding situations. The text on Lee Jun Seong's (Yoo Seung Ho) poster reads, "Have you lost it? This is a crime", depicting his fragile emotional state as he finds himself caught up in an unintentional kidnapping scheme.
Following that, Song Jae Hyo (Kim Dong Hwi) wears an icy gaze, paired with the text, "But you know you're an accomplice too, right?" implying his cold demeanor and the sharp dynamics among those involved in the kidnapping.
Park Min Woo (Yoo Soo Bin), the hostage in this kidnapping ordeal, presents a resolute expression alongside the thought-provoking text, "Do I look like a pushover to you?" signifying his readiness to strike back at any moment.
The text, "Someone got kidnapped next door", coupled with Cha Soo An's (Lee Joo Young) determined expression, as if she has made a decisive choice, piques curiosity about the transformational point for the justice-driven police trainee Soo An.
The character teaser gives a glimpse of the story of four young individuals entangled in this kidnapping drama. Jun Seong, burdened with a debt after completing his military service, is facing threats to his life. He reluctantly becomes an accomplice but emphasizes that Min Woo is a friend before a hostage. Jae Hyo is a medical student on the verge of being kicked out while his classmates avoided expulsion with money.
Following the line, "Prepare 1 billion won", there's a scene where Jae Hyo says, "I have a plan", showing Jae Hyo's unwavering determination to execute this deal.
