Igami Masaru, also known by his real name Inoue Masaki (井上正喜), was a Japanese screenwriter born in Gunma, Japan. Other pen names he used include Inoue Masaru (井上勝) and Mori Toshio (森利夫).

After graduating from Gunma Prefectural Takasaki High School, he went on to study French literature at Meiji University. He completed his studies at the age of 27 and joined the advertising agency Sanei Kosha.

Upon learning that Toshiba Trading was soliciting scripts for television and radio, he quickly wrote the script for 'Yusei Oji' overnight and submitted it, winning the selection. He made his debut as the author and scriptwriter of the original work for the television drama adaptation of 'Yusei Oji' (NTV).

In 1965, at the age of 34, he left Sanei Kosha and became a freelance writer. In 1988, at the age of 57, he retired from being a scriptwriter.

On November 16, 1991, at the age of 60, he passed away due to cirrhosis.

His eldest son is the screenwriter Inoue Toshiki. His granddaughter is the screenwriter Inoue Akiko.
