In 1982 (Showa 57), he debuted as a drummer for the rock band " Tokyo Japan " from CBS Sony (now Sony Music Entertainment ). The representative song is “ Skyscraper Blues ”. After stopping the band activity , he began to work on TBS radio etc. aiming for the DJ path .
In charge of several late-night programs. Among them, " FM Night Street - Pajamas Press " ( JFN , October 1988- March 1994 ) has gained some popularity as " Super FM Magazine " on the JFNA line . In charge of TOKYO FM evening wide program “TOKYO POP ARENA” since 1989 . The program was later renamed "DANCE SHIP TOKYO" and will be in charge for three and a half years.
In 1992 ( Heisei 4 ), he appeared as commentary on " Dream is MORI MORI " ( Fuji TV series) and showed a unique talent for words. At the beginning of the program, no face was shown, so the viewers said "I want to see his face" in the program. After that, he appeared as a program facilitator.
During this time (April 1992-March 1993), he also appeared on TV Kanagawa (TVK) 's live broadcast music program " Funky Tomato '92 ('93)" as a regular in the latter half of the program.
1993 ( Heisei 5 years) April 1 , TOKYO FM system " Yasuhiko Akasaka of Million Nights" began and in 1994 observed success in this program, with the 31st Galaxy Award. He was awarded the reinvented the DJ personality award .
1995 ( Heisei 7) On April 25, TOKYO FM 25th anniversary commemorative special program "Yasuhiko Akasaka's Tokyo / New York 25-hour Special" was broadcast live from New York . At this time, perform a double DJ with Wolfman Jack .
