Only the love between parents and children is for separation.

This 20-episode drama took me by the neck and gave me a ride on the emotional rollercoaster. the synopsis confused me so much that it actually made me want to watch this and it was such a treat though I went into it with no expectations at all since there's not much drama about time travel that did it right or somewhat logical at least this one even with little knowledge about time traveling theory it would still make sense.

okay so with the vital part of the drama (for me) Qi shuo, that character was the super glue of the drama, I would not trade Liu yitong to any other actor he made Qi shuo the lovable character that made me love the whole drama. He was a son, the one that would cross the mountains, sea, and time and space for his mother and liu yitong managed to portray that for us. Like what they say in the drama 'All love in this world is for gathering, Only the love between parents and children is for separation.' he loves his mother so much that he was willing to sacrifice himself just to make sure that her mother would live differently from the current time that she was in.

Qi yue and Lu xiao, are really destined to be together, or at least now the odds of favor are on their side. knowing the little tidbits of their 2031 selves, Lu xiao took care to Qi shuo and Qi yue with probably some limitations but Qi shuo gave them the push and the reason to take care of each other in the near future (also betting my fortune that 2031 Qi shuo prolly saw Lu xiao as a father figure in his life)

this will sound and feel weird but the trio did really have the chemistry of a family (yes even with being adults), you can perfectly picture them as that harmonic family. the amount of chemistry they have are so adorable.

The sacrifices, feeling of belonging, a family they will call their own, finding and reaching a dream, and realizing a probably 'childish' wish. The drama delivered that all even with just 20 episodes.

is this the best drama? tbh it's all base on personal taste but this one is worth giving a peek.

I got one day to fall in love with you.

this mini drama surprised me and i actually quite loved the pace of this. yes, there might be plotholes and some arcs of the story that was left unanswered at all like when did SML started going in with the loop, etc.

i got to see the fun side of time loop (FL's pov) she literally took advantage of the never ending loop but still with the point of confessing her feelings and making sure that ML sees her and gets his attention.

im not even surprised with the plot twist and her reason to time loop like it was kinda gave away right off the bat but its fun to watch the FL do things fully knowing that it will restart again. qouting the SML "i got MBA in this time loop but you're busy dating" ?

short dramas with decent writing and acting are really a life saver tbh. also main leads are so adorable ??

do i recommend this? yes, if you're really out of drama to watch or if you're waiting for your 30-mins per ep drama to update. this is a really good drama to watch to fill in those waiting times.

a very obvious low budget drama

the fact that the drama only played for 8 episodes with at least 18 per ep, it was very telling that this was a mini drama with low production budget.

this drama in a nutshell was a drama that I wont waste a braincell in it. it was not bad but also not good. the saving grace for this one was probably the visuals of the actor and hearing jeff satur in the start, middle and end of the drama. lmao (betting my fortune they probably paid 1/4 of their budget to make jeff sing 2 of the songs XDDD)

go in with caution with this one.

The classic Enemies to lovers wattpad but make it softer and fluffier.

okay to start off, you need to get past ep.1 to fully enjoy the show (i did skip some scenes). the subs are rough but i (personally) don't mind.

story: so the premise of this is that in the uni (thats all engineering course btw) have this unique system of dorm segregation, by identifying their personal strengths, and of course our main leads gets on a different dorms and again, classic romantic troupe, the dorm that they are respectively in are enemies (like the archi-engi type of fued lmao)
so our leads, Ai and Songkhram. they kinda hit it off right on the first ep but our dear boy songkhram decided to tease Ai (to probably get reactions from ai, which he totally gets from ai) thus cementing their little childish fued. then time jumps to 3rd year college ( i think? i lowkey forgot) Ai and Songkhram are now the dorm presidents of the dorm that they are in (respectively, dorm 2 and dorm 3). so yea childish fueds are still ongoing but like i said, early on ai and songkhram liked eo. so it doesnt come as a surprise that Ai secretly likes songkhram and songkhram on the other hand tries to do the let me see if you get jealous, so that i can know if you like too coz im hella in love with you move (dudes liked eo for 3 long years, damn) then fate being the comedic and torturous kween that she is, keeps on making the two dorm work together and that entails the two presidents be constantly on each others orbit/necks, thus feelings gets out of hand and songkhram took those oppurtunity to win Ai and they become the cutest boyfies.

okay, so plot wise. some parts didnt made sense, like with meen and pipe. that arc just slapped me with nc and then boom they're tgt (im blaming the bad subs but also pipe) and the "angst" looks so forced like ai randomly getting emotional? he just snapped at songkhram, its out of his character tbh. but if you would look at the whole structure of the story it was okay. like it delivered fluff and the most adorable main cp, in my books its a win for me already. the cp somehow selled to me that their dating and as someone who have been liking that person for 3 long years, they deserve to be those disgustingly sweet boyfies and i as a third wheel must endure the suffering. i was smiling at their cuteness (also laughing along for some crazy schemes bullshit they were doing)

some people would probably go off that this drama is boring or something along those lines but lemme tell you something, this series doesnt need the 100% capacity of your braincells, its a feel good drama that you can enjoy, cringe at and to pass time. go in with this drama 0 expectations amd just enjoy the fluffy ride.

p.s. quick admiration for Ai's actor, damn that man has the cutest smile ?and also songkram and pipe's actor too myghad such eye candies.

2 main couple story done right.

i usually watch dramas when it's ongoing and if I feel like I would not finish the drama it either be dropped and forgotten or put on hold for the longest time until I feel like watching it again. this drama is the 2nd one and I'm glad I did.

story/plot flow- lets put aside the fact that mame was the writer for the novel version. (i think we all know what sh*t she's been doing and have done) story wise, the scriptwriters did so well to mellow out any red flag scenes that it was bearable. (tbh you can skip those scenes if you really hate it). i loved how they did the 2 main stories in one drama, the 2 cps had enough screen time to fully develop whatever they needed to develop (romance-wise) this was the only drama that i didn't have to ask any screen time about the second cp. they served and served well at that. no draggy scenes that felt unnecessary tbh which i liked. its compact but it wont make you feel less.

acting/production- technical stuff first, since this one is not that much, scenes were translated quite okay with the lighting and framing, not the best but like i always say, its watchable, but the sounds. omfg. the unnecessary sounds from the mic that was in their bodies omg-- it was a distraction. (but it was fun to do some guess where the hell they put the lapel mics lmao also this issue with the sounds goes with a lot of other bl dramas that I've watched lmao so this is not even new but i think someone needs to point it out)

- so for the acting, for th dramas I'm not as picky as i am like i am with cdrama or kdrama and fully knowing that 3 of the main casts are new or just debuted i wont really nitpick. yes there were scenes that felt like they could have done more but again i won't take it against them, they will improve (probably) on their 2nd drama. my faves out of the 4 would be peat and noeul, them as rain and sky was a treat.

this isn't everyone's cup of tea and i get that but for me it was a fun drama to watch and i maybe biased but the 2 parallel arcs for the 2 cps made me love this. the 2nd cp wasn't thrown out for them to only progress on the last 2 eps they established both the story arcs that it somehow covered some lacking points of the whole show.

Food documentary with a side of Grab ad

to summarize, use 2x or if your lucky have it on 8x. man even mark siwat can't save this.

it wasn't engaging enough and i dare say lack of chemistry from the leads killed the drama the amount of times i tried to finish this drama (with alot of skipping)

if we're going with technicality, this drama has the nicest shots. the foods did look very appetizing and it kimda urged me to try and cook it or look for it but even that cant save the drama like even with the nicest shot it just wasnt translated properly and also the writing? whatever goes on that part. it wasnt even rushed, it was underdeveloped, it felt like it was the first draft of it and they just carried on.

if you like mark siwat, just search for his cuts but if you're new. please just don't waste your time on this.

A debut drama but still watchable

its straight to the point and since its only 5 episodes long, it wasnt really a surprise that there were some parts of the story that felt underdeveloped but again it's a debut drama for most of the leads there so im not even surprised.

its not groundbreaking whatnot but if you're here for ding yuxi, you'll enjoy seeing a babie dyx but that doesnt take off the shine of his acting skills, its like a rough gem that's waiting to be polished ✨

i would recommend this to someone who's probably just found out who DYX is but still watch with less expectation, like i said its a debut drama funded by iqiyi to boost up the winners of their reality show so it might be rough for some of you but since its 5 episodes long it won't be that much of a torture.
