First, let me say I have watched about EVER SINGLE XU KAI DRAMA....

*Slaps and rubs hands together*

This is a very smart and emotional drama to watch. Character growth and emotional vulnerability are all there. Xu Kai plays an extremely smart and honest character while Jian Tian plays the main female lead who possesses the same traits. She is very witty and a quick thinker.

Im so bad at writing reviews but let me say this. If you liked any of Xu Kai dramas then I can promise you this one will not disappoint. The story is very cleanly written without too many fillers. Its worth the watch.

Its a story of friendship, love, heartache and personal growth.

The incredible story of Gu Jiusi and Liu Yuru. The friendships, bonds, and love for one another and the people around them. Bai Jing Ting has once again stolen my heart with his fantastic acting and great chemistry with his co-star Song Yi. While our villain who has taken the world by story Luo Zi Shang played by Liu Xueyi deserves an ovation. Now I have watched just about everything Lui Xue Yi has been in and this was completely out of character for him. You can tell that he didn't just play the role he was the role. I was not disappointed with his performance at all.

Since words have seemed to escape me I will say this. If you loved the pace and aura of "Love Like the Galaxy" and "Who Rules the World" Then I will say this drama is right for you. It did everything right. From start to finish. There was NO BAD ENDING HERE! (For those who know what I mean you get it!!!)

This drama has joined the ranks of Eternal Love (Ye Hua/Bai Qian Story), Princess Weiyoung, One and Only, Love and Destiny, and Ashes of Love. These are my favorites of all time.) So if you agree with the few I mentioned then you know this drama is right for you!!!!!

What goes up must come down...

I want to say that this drama isn't bad. The writing was all over the place. I would say the first half we perfectly paced and hit all the right spots. Then BAM you like "Where the hell did that come from???" I am a HUGE fan of Xing Zhao Lin and he did the best he could. I know many people hated him in this drama but the actors can not be blamed for poor writing. I would say they did a fantastic job. Riley Wang seemed to be completely at home in this role.. (He is so gosh dang cute..)

The story adds some weird complexity to this drama personally I don't feel like it is needed... It was a waste of episodes and this drama could have very easily been 24 episodes. The love triangle that Zhang Xue Ying, Xing Zhao Lin, and Riley Wang are a very entertaining one. The interactions between the male leads are unique and chemistry is there. I wouldn't be shocked to find them to be great friends outside of working together. I do hope to see them together again soon.

Zhang Xue Ying character kinda pissed me off. For reasons I really hope you find out. All in all, she seems like a completely down-to-earth girl with no life experience.

Fighting scenes were meh... I would say that they were poorly edited.. The costumes were really nice. Even some of the side character's hair was on point and that is saying a lot because normally they cheap out on everyone but the main leads and villains...

Anywho, I would say watch at your own risk. I did like it but was annoyed at the turn of the drama purely because it came out of left field.
