SO DIFFERENT!

I have watched many Thai dramas before, just in general. And I have watched a decent amount of Thai BL dramas as well. This show is so much different than theirs.

CINEMATOGRAPHY:
I would love to comment on the cinematography, it was literally perfect and beautiful, I specifically love the confession scene with the hammock. The blue background with the beach just seem so peaceful like the only thing that was there was them 2. No one else existed. And that is what they were kind of saying in the scene as well. "I want to be the closest to you, no one else" (not an actual quote, but similar).
PACING:
The pacing is what makes it so much different from other Thai shows I feel like. Other series kinda make it a lot more fast-paced and keep it moving. For a 5 episodes series them being 1 hour long, I did not feel rushed or pushed like I normally do. The storyline was played out really well and very distributed between the enemies to friends to lovers. You could see the transition between each of the stages and I felt like it was just perfect and done really well. It almost felt slow, but wasn't and I think in those "slow" scenes they truly utilize the silence and the eyes and stares it was perfect.
STORYLINE & ACTING:
What also made it different is that it's a lot more light, And I think for the storyline the way the cinematography and the pacing were done just match the storyline. I am a sucker for like classmate love so when I found that out I just loved it. The silences and stares between Oh and Teh displayed so much tension and we, the audience, notice so much history in the beginning and created enough romance just from that. Along with that, I love the small parallels, the back-scratching to THAT SCENE ;) and the knees touching, it just represented so much I felt like. However I do agree with some of the other watchers that Teh constant crying was a bit overused I understand the pressure, heartbreak, etc. That he deals with, but still... I am sure that Teh's character is made to make us mad, which it did, constantly, the fact that he lead on Oh and Tarn was so upsetting for me, and made me make it through the day I watched it. The fact that Oh also constantly went back, I do love the fact that Oh and Bas did have a moment together where they did end up together and the fact that Bas let it happen and realized it is love in itself.
MUSIC:
GOD the music intensify my emotions so much, it made me feel everything times 100 it was literally perfect. the music use was used really well.

*thumbs up* i would recommend for a filler drama, or like a break drama tbh.

I liked the ending...

I know that a lot of people have to say about the ending, a lot of people say that the ending was either rush or it just wasn't the result they wanted. But looking back at my comments and my prediction from the beginning of the series, I wanted this type of ending or at least really similar. My prediction was that they weren't going to be endgame and they were going to standing on their own and different side of the screen in present time. In this case they kinda were but not in reality and not in the present. Let's go down to the pros and cons.

PROS: I really like the story, how it was played out. The idea of the reporter and a fencer, and etc. I also liked how each character got its own background, we get to see each character grow and how their upbringing got them to where they are now. A lot of people are sorta iffy about the whole present and past thing, but I think with that it allowed speculation between the watchers. I think the quality was really good, a long with the ost. It was a pretty standard netflix kdrama. I really enjoyed the fencing scenes and the friendship. The fencing was well done that made me want to watch it, and even though Hee Do did not get to go through the same pain that BYJ went, though we saw it I was kinda glad about that.

CONS: Like I had said in the beginning I liked the ending, however I do understand people frustration of it feeling a little rush. I like the open ending but it did feel rush and felt like it could've been done a lot better. Thinking about this now, I know that people wanted to see BYJ in the present time, but I think it was an okay idea to keep him out of it so that it followed the story of like its in the past, nothing lasts forever. However seeing him the present if they were to do it I think a talk with BYJ and the daughter explaining their love story and why it ended would've been good, instead of having the book store owner give the book, have some interaction or something. I think also the ending of the House manwha was kinda just let go, i wish they continued it and I also believe that for some reason during the romantic scenes after they were together felt a little weird ish.

I really did like this drama and would recommend for those who don't want a full on romance drama but a lot of friendship and family.

i love ren/dew

I have never watch other adaption of Boys over Flowers, so I am not comparing this to anything however I do have very knowledgeable about the other adaptions.

I really like the show, I do believe the acting was little mediocre, however for the actor's names and especially for Dew first acting debut it wasn't bad, I just found it funny how Dew would smile during serious scenes, it made me really appreciate him and love him more. The entire plot of the characters were good, tbh I didn't really watch MJ part because I thought it was the same at the end then I found out for it to be different. The plot of Ren's Mira arc and then Thyme going back to himself, then the whole amnesia arc within 2 episodes. It could tell that a lot of was giving into the show for only a 16 episodes series. For all the characters and I think they did really well based off the amount of episodes givin. I think if it was higher amount of episodes it could be so much better because realistically the only problem that can be seen is the pacing. I really did like the ending of the series it made me so happy to see that Gorya referred to Ren has her first love, so I love that for them.

In the beginning of starting this drama I really didn’t like it in the beginning like the first 1-5 episodes were good but they didn’t really hit me to LOVE the series till episode 6-8 (obviously that a preference). However considering that this show is an eight episode series they really did really good with it. The lighting in the alley way scene, the acting of the actors, the colors, and directing. I really liked it. I do wish there was more of the cs or graphic design learning aspect of it however thats not too important. I am currently reading the manwha I am on lime chapter 28 and their are clear differences between this and that, however the way they have displayed Sangwoo I like better than in the manwha, personally just because in the mawha I feel like he talks a bit much for a guy who is keeps to himself, the setting of the character’s scenes also change like the computer fixing or whatnot. The way Sangwoo’s run is funny to me personally, it didnt feel like he was tryna run away, whcih from actor he isnt so a little unrealistic there. I which the drama was a little longer to go more into the details of the plot as well.

I LOVE IT!

I absolutely love this show! It was so GOOD! This will be organized by the RATINGS.

STORY
The story plotline was good, honestly, it was amazing. However the thing I would say is that there was a small part within the series where I was confused I believe it was the story between Bum Soek and Soo Ho. I get the anger that Bum Soek presented as being friends, but I think I was just slightly confused about the friendship. Why was Bum Soek so obsessed with a relationship with Soo Ho? I also think that Bum Soek's story was so GOOD! Like it was played throughout the series which I did like and it ALSO WASN'T FULLY DIRECT, whichI think was amazing.

ACTING
THE ACTING WAS CRAZY! Dude I loved it. The eyes and passion. Especially THE SMILE SCENCE AND THE CRYING SCENCE! It was all crazy and I love the entire cast acting.

I took a break...

INFORMATION:
I watched mainly for the ML's actor has I've seen him in Idol Producer, so I was interested into his acting career.

Overall, the show was okay. I was watching the show while it was airing and by the time the aired episode of 21-24 came out I took like a 6 week break from not watching the show. Like for me to finish the show about now, and having to almost forced myself to watch the last episode should tell you a bit.

STORY:
The story was okay, I didn't mind the whole story like I understand it but it was weird for someone to be making a love app though they don't understand love. The age gap didn't bother me too much, the characters were pretty okay played out. I though think that ML's character didn't have a lot of immatureness in the beginning of the show for the need of him to put into the company to raise his mature level, so that didn't make sense. I felt like if they weren't going to play into the the hospital guy story or have a little more with that then they should just cut it out, it really wouldn't have made a difference whether he wanted to win the race for the friend or if he wanted to prove something for himself.

ACTING:
As this is the ML first acting, it is understandable. I do think as the drama was going he was getting better and better, so I would really like to see him improve even more. The FL's acting was good I enjoyed it. However I think throughout the entire show I really couldn't tell if the leads had chemistry. I think they do and I really wish they played more into it, I feel like the chemistry was good like they had it but it could be possible that they didn't display it well.

I am going to this review on specific certain aspect of the drama that I want to talk about whether it is a dislike or like.

- PROGRESS: To explain to people who are considering watching this drama, it is pretty much a misunderstanding enemies to lovers. And because of that has to those who like enemies to lover, the process is hatred, tolerate, okay, lover. There is a process to get it to it if it a good drama or even book. And for this drama I personally felt like it started off with hatred but by the 3rd episode I felt like they were already ish comfortable with one another like for what the misunderstanding was, I would have not reacted the way the FL lead did. So it went hatred, comfortable, and then like a really long stalemate and 1 scene (bath scene) that was like "maybe I dont like SML", stalemate, then straight to confession, and to those who have watch we know what happen after confession. So I felt like the progress was shown very weakly.

- CHEMISTRY/ACTING: I don't think they had insane good chemistry, but I think they had decent. But the reason why I feel like their chemistry wasn't good was mainly because the scenes didn't give them that chance too. Yes we got that really cute confession and the cuddling and everything but where I saw the most chemistry was the video vlog they did near the end, like please the broccoli information was really cute and I think that was because it was natural. I think the rest of the drama was full of the business aspect which goes into what I said earlier I think if you focus a lot on one aspect you'll lose in another. I don't have much to say because I didn't really have a big problem

- ENDING/PARALLELS: I know that mainly people have opinions about the ending personally, yeah I probably would have left it as a sad ending because that just makes sense to me, however I do think that how amnesia wasn't necessary, it was just another plot to add, however I do like how it reconnected to the beginning of the story on how he made her forget the memory. And when he forgot the memory they go through pretty much a recap of everything and its all really nice parallels that I really love. I LOVE PARALLELS. However again I think the progress of him RELIKING her after the memory loss wasn't shown like we had the bed hand holding lap scene to show that maybe he liked her again but that was it.

- OTHERS: I skipped over most of the FL best friend's scenes mainly because it just didn't interest me that much tbh, however I watch most of ML best friend's scene mainly for him. Even though a lot of people have stuff to say about him, I found him cute, look wise, there definitively were moments where I wanted to punch him.

If you are considering watching this drama, give it shot and dm or let me know your opinions on what I have to say about it :).

good simple drama

I started this drama around midnight and finish it in one laying. I think that this show if a create show to just watch in a one sitting, almost like a filler show or a break show between the other dramas you may be watching.

I really like the simple confession, "i like you" "i like you too" *clink wine glasses* and then after that they really didn't do a "are we together" type of thing, they kind a just got together after that. I also like how there was any homophobia in here or any type of scenes or moment that made this be like a bl, even though it is. (does that make sense?) I am also just a sucker for parallel or when things connect, so the beginning of the series and the ending of the series was very satisfying for me because of the parallel.

DISLIKE:
The fight scene was so weird to me personally just a bit. Like they were yelling at each other then hugging each other. For the pace it was I understand, but I think that could've been done a little better just a bit. They had pretty decent chemistry I felt like it was a very neutral, friendly chemistry and for the amount of "romance" scenes we got I say it was enough.

COMMENTS:
I think if the chemistry between the actors were a little higher this plot and idea, along with change of length can be an even better bl.
