Great Acting, but a story that is missing something

Hey everyone, welcome to the first K-drama Study of 2023. I know it's been a while, but I've been waiting for some of the dramas on my watch list to come out. So today, I'll be talking about my first Historical drama, Joseon Attorney: A Morality, which starred Cosmic Girls Member Bona. I'll review this show differently than usual. I've been excited to check out this show since the story sounded terrific, but we will find out what I thought of the show, so let's jump in and see what I thought of it.

Disclaimer: There May be spoilers.

Story: When first hearing about this show, I remember reading the story and being interested in this Law type of drama since this was the first time I had seen one that focused on the Law. Woo Do-Hwan did an excellent job with his character helping the ordinary Joseon people with their problems which helped make the story enjoyable. However, one thing that sometimes pulled the story down was that the writer needed to give more power to Bona's character. Also, why did we need a romance when it felt like it didn't even go anywhere like they could've done without it or did it better? But, on the other hand, I liked how some funny moments in the show spiced things up occasionally. The story had some good moments, but then we had moments that felt one-dimensional and stuff that I didn't like. It was fun to watch a Historical show, even though it was my first one.

OSTs: The music for this show was fantastic, as I've been listening to it a lot. Changsub dropped the first song for this show which set the mood for the drama and one that kept popping up on repeat. Then we got LEAD sung by Nan Ah Jin, one of my favorite tracks from the show, as the singer delivered a sassy performance that blended well with the tumping backing track. Finally, Boramiyu had a sweet tune that fits well with the spring season, as I've been repeating that one recently. I still found all the OSTs enjoyable, as I remember listening to them constantly.

Thanks, everyone, for reading. I'm glad to be back with a new Drama review. The next drama I'll be watching is in July, so look out for another review soon. Joseon Attorney: A Morality will be getting a C for me for being a decent drama with a few things I would've changed. I had fun checking out my first Historical show since I'm used to watching modern dramas. I hope you all have a good day or night, and I'll see you next time.
