it was upsetting, both good and bad

First, I want to comment on Moon Ji Yong's performance in this, 10/10. This man has rangeeeee, I've seen him in other works like " The new employee" where he was a dorky sweet guy, but in this I felt so many emotions. His character completely drew me into the story so props to him. The story was interesting and I was engaged the entire time, however I won't spoil the ending, I'll just leave it at this...WHY? Anyways, I watched this series earnestly in one go, I enjoyed it and hated it all at the same time, cried a lot, enjoyed the bits of romance, but really wanted to find whoever wrote this and sit in front of their home until they changed everything. The production of the show was fine, nothing fancy but not bad by any means. I enjoyed the OST for the show a lot it was pleasant at the times it was used. Acting from everyone was good, and from Moon Ji Yong it was exceptional. I'll recommend this show for those who like fantastical star-crossed love stories but with a warning, you will wish you could re-write it.

tragic, but neededly grounded

I really enjoyed the cinema style and dialogues, they gave the show have a sense of realism. I enjoyed the characters and how the story unfolded, it captured a youthful love between friends and lovers that I felt really moved by. The story is happy yet tragic, and I can't help but wish for a different outcome. I truly wish I could have seen more fight from the lead lovers and not turn practically into a surrender, as I felt way too attached to them to want to let them go. However life isn't a drama series, so I can appreciate the writing and direction of how the story plays out. That doesn't mean I didn't wish things turned out differently but, Makki is human after all. I'd recommend the show for a decently emotional lgbt coming of age story between friends and lovers.

Good Holland song, mid show

the chemistry between the two felt a little forced, was alright. the story was also pretty cliche and at times felt random, especially with the year apart, which felt very dramatic as if Tommy went to prison without access to modern technology or something. anyhow, I’m not gonna recommend this over other BLs but each to their own. The OST made me watch, so at least there’s a bit of content to take away and enjoy, it would’ve hit harder as a song if the story was actually emotionally interesting but I’d be lying if I said I felt moved by the couple.

Pure angst

Gray shelter comes out with a very angsty tone, showing the struggle of two men who are longing for someone that feels like your home. The story itself can feel a little messy and at times confusing, but the overall message in my opinion is still successfully displayed. The acting is incredible here from both leads and the supporting cast, the emotions and thoughts behind the characters actions to me felt clear. The cinema style is also very fitting to the mood and story which helps to elevate it. The OST "Sleepless" by ode has personally been on repeat for me since the show aired, as well as other songs from "Ode". I'd highly recommend the full version of the song as it has this fitting mood of loneliness in it's tone and feels emotionally packed until the very end, which matches Gray Shelter's atmosphere perfectly. Overall I'd recommend this show to those who like angst and those who don't should stay far away.

Fluff, Angst, sometimes comedic

One Room Angel was a pleasant surprise of a show for me as I wasn't expecting the story to go where it did. I enjoyed the development of the story and the emotional bond of the lead characters forged from it. Very different from a normal BL series, but also very welcome. There's a lot of moments of fluff and light-heartedness as well as a fair share of angst and gloom in One Room Angel which gives the show its charm. I'd highly recommend this show for all kinds of BL watchers as it touches into a lot of genre's in my opinion with it's dichotomy of themes.

Season 1s emo sibling

This season of "To my star" delivered the same chemistry from the lead actors with a more heart wrenching plot than it's predecessor. The flip of the couple's mood this time around shines a light on how a relationship can change over time. Especially between the personality dynamics and struggles of that for a couple like in To My Star. I enjoyed the character development seen in this season from all characters, although Han Ji Woo's actions in this story was frustrating to sit back and watch , I completely understood his character motives and the emotional weight of the thoughts behind them. I commend the actors for giving themselves to these characters and would easily recommend the first and second season of this show.

Good chem, mid story

The two leads are charming and have good chemistry, as I've also seen them with the same level of chemistry in "Roommates of Poongduck 304". The story is very expected, cliche however the series isn't very long so I'd say it's still an enjoyable watch purely off of the actors performances. If you want a better BL with the same level of acting but a more fleshed out storyline I'd definitely say watch Roomates of Poongduck, however Kissable lips is still a nice bite size drama.

Fluff, Flat, Forced

The story in Cherry blossoms after winter could have been interesting in some ways, however it doesn't work at all here. The dialogue, set environments and overall interactions between characters felt forced, flat, most of the time unnatural and not believable. The tropes and interactions are very cliche and cringey at times, and the story between the two leads feels very unfulfilling and spontaneous with the background we're given. I'll give some props to the lead actors for the amount of chemistry they were able to have at some points being there were some decently romantic moments, however the overall performances felt very mundane. I don't want to say it was the acting exclusively because the script was very clearly low quality. Any conflict felt too quickly solved, everything in general felt too sudden and more often than not, boring. The only story line that felt somewhat interesting was with the mother's, and even then It could have been done a lot better. If what you are interested in is an untraditional BL that involves "brothers" falling in love like Cherry Blossoms, I'd highly recommend "Unknown", a Tai BL adapted from the "Da Ge" Novel by Priest, which I also recommend. A way more interesting plot with heavy themes, lots of character depth, a believable world and love story; it really is on another level than Cherry Blossoms. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Cherry blossoms after winter, but if you're into fluffy romance and don't mind a very predictable, cliche, flat production then knock yourself out I guess.

Different in the best way

Love for love's sake story takes on an "isekai" like plot, with good acting , story and production quality. The overall fantasy of the show is very welcome into the K-BL genre as I personally feel like there's a lack of fantasy/sci-fi etc currently. The story itself has some convoluted moments towards the middle/end however the conclusion of the show works really well in my opinion and hits an emotional punch. Of course this show isn't without flaws, but even without the comparison to what is already available in the BL market, I'd say this is at least an A+ caliber show. I'd recommend this as a must watch for the unique premise, overall production, and lead chemistry.

Instant angsty classic for BL dramas

This story doesn't focus solely on the romance of two attractive men, which I have no problem eating up the kind of shows that do that, HOWEVER. When shows like The Eighth sense come into the genre, it easily places itself into A+ if not S tier for me. That's thanks to the story and character depth creating a sense of reality. The writing isn't the only thing this show offers however. The cinematography, soundtrack, and acting are all phenomenal here, which is also why I find myself rating this show so highly. Falling in love is a hard thing to capture in a drama but throw in some angst and or trauma and it's like tasting food with seasoning after not experiencing that much flavor in a while... Anyhow, The Eighth Sense is a MUST WATCH for BL enjoyers

Beautiful cinematography , story execution , and performances

"Blueming" is a simple and heavy hitting BL with beautiful cinematography, soundtrack, story and performance. I'd consider it an S class product in this genre and the kind of quality other dramas in this category fail to deliver on. Back on it's simplicity "Blueming" executes it's some-what layered story in criminally short episodes with ease thanks to great writing, directing and performances. You won't feel lost following this story, and you'll be left with warm feelings after the emotional journey you're taken on.
