Started off well, but lost it's way. Overrated drama, just because of famous leads

Many people will disagree, but I feel this is just so overrated, Okay, so what if the cast is renowned and they act well. There is hardly any script inn here. I mean nothing really happens. Initial few episodes, which revealed how 2 teens of very opposing nature keep bickering, and eventually fall in love, through those videos and flashbacks, were cool, and had a good thing going. The moment t hey got back together, which was no surprise, the show turned super cheesy and then there was nothing left in story at all, but still it dragged on like forever. The subplot with NJ was kinda cute but unnecessary. The side-plot with the other Woong was boring and unnecessary as well. More so was his subplot with his mother, and the love interest from his assistant. All these plot points were complete fillers for a stale drama. The subplot with the protagonist being adopted, and about his art being criticized was also unnecessary and did not contribute to the plot in any way. The female lead was shown as such a strong character in the beginning, but towards the end was insufferably cheesy and a waste of character. At the end, the leads get separated as they focus on their respective careers but immediately get back together because they just so "missed each other".. the whole thing felt forced, as if they wanted to put in some dramatic moments before they ended the drama. I was utterly bored in last few episodes. Sorry to anyone who finds this drama likeable and disagrees with my review, but I hope this will help someone save their few hours of life by skipping this drama.

promising premise... poor execution;.. hated the repetitive OST .

this is my frank opinion only, others may disagree, but I really disliked this drama. Had my hopes high with Son ye jin in the lead role, and she didn't disappoint, but her character wasn't well written at all. She had no spine in the beginning, then falls in love, learns to stand up for herself, only to do everything opposite in the end. what was the whole point? All the actors did a good job with their parts. the sub -plot in the office was a distraction to the main story more than than anything else. I mean the basic premise of the drama was an older woman falling for a young guy ; that too her friend's younger sibling. But it barely had any impact on story. Everyone (almost) was just fine after initial shock. There was hardly any discussion on the social stigma /taboo related with this. As in all the reviews , first few episodes were enjoyable, but then lost traction midway through the series. The female lead does questionable things devoid of any logic. The male lead also decides suddenly he wants to move out of the country , without discussing with her. The mother was against their relationship, not because of their age gap/ what society would think of that , but instead because of parentage of the guy . Makes no sense why the whole plot focussed so much on their age gap at all. This could have happened with any-age couple. Seems like they wanted to fill out the 16 episodes with some content.

Seriously...towards last few episodes, all the characters did was stare/walk.. there were long cuts of the characters doing absolutely nothing with some bgm (dont get me started on that..) ..you could fast forward the episodes and there would hardly be 20-30 mins of actual development in story. The male lead spends half his dialogues telling the female, how beautiful she is.
Actually nothing much happens story wise in the drama at all. You could tell the story in 7-8 episodes .. there were so many filler non-relevant scenes.

The Background Score....uff...... same bloody 2-3 songs repeated every 5 minutes. after the first few times, it got irritating. Whatever the context the same song would play. and the lyrics did not suite the show at all. + these were all in English. But man, so many times the same shitty song kept playing on and on..... it was the worst part of the show.

Wont recommend this drama to anyone. I am repenting having watched it.

For a different taste... lot of things unexplained...

Ok. first time writing a review , so forgive me if I write something wrong or hurtful...

This series does not give you much explanations at all. Lots of things happen, Things escalate rather quickly, but then the characters don't quite react to what's happening or what just happened in the appropriate manner. I don't know if it was intentional from the creators of this show, trying to be cheeky with the humor maybe.. Most of the characters are strange in this series. Strangest of them all , Ahn Eun Young, who is played well by Jung Yu Mi. I think the casting was perfect, and so was her wardrobe, and styling, and props. Nam Joo Hyuk played the role of Mr. Hong well, but it seemed weird, that both the leads would just become friends, after the strange happenings in episode 1. He just accepts without any questions that Miss. Ahn could see jellies and that they actually exist. There is no exposition scene where Miss. Ahn reveals her secret to Mr. Hong, we are asked to assume that it happened and Mr. Hong is completely OK with it, and actually plays along with tying the armpit hairs of two students... ? i cant explain that ... that's how weird this drama is...lol.... Suddenly the nurse and a student are freinds, and strangely that student is at her office almost all the time ! The Mite eater character was intriguing , but it wasn't explained , nor does it seem logical, how the character comes to be a school student in the first place. The story leaves a lot of loose plot threads never explaining it, (what's the deal with acupuncture lady ) , Mr. Mackenzie plot thread could have lead somewhere but he disappears towards the end episodes. At the end there is a major calamity, and it would have been interesting to see how it was resolved, but nothing is shown.
Most will find this weird, some people will like it, others won't. Personally, I was left wanting for more explanations and felt rather unsatisfied with the ending after investing time in watching this series (even though it's not long). I liked the characters, the setting; I liked the music, it is really unique and adds to the quirkiness of the show. The effects are also really great and also gross at some times. The creatures were well designed, some were very cute. All in all, an Okay show to pass time...
