“The moment you give up, it’s game over.” – Ha Yi Chan

I postponed watching this show before it was all the way done. It was so tempting at times because I would see clips of this show on TikTok. I finally got around to watching this drama and it does not disappoint. This show lived up to the hype and many more. Twinkling watermelon might just be in my top ten dramas that I watched in 2023. This show falls into the all the things that I love in korean dramas from the funny wholesome friendships to the cute romantic relationships. It even show the different dynamics between the character and their parents. And to make this even better the music is really good. So shout out to everyone who was apart of making the music for this show. And shout out to the actors who worked so hard to produce such an amazing performance for all of us to watch.

The dynamic between Ha Eun Gyeol and Ha Yi Chan had me laughing, smiling, and crying all throughout this series. Their is just somthing that pulls at my heart strings when a son wants the absolute best for hsi father and vise verse. And with this show eun gyeol is dedicated to making sure that his father dosent suffer from the accident that makews him go deaf. Even when his father say’s meana things to him and even disregard his advice he always comes back to make sure yi chan isnt hurt or in trouble. He really cares about his father and yi chan even comes around to view eun gyeol as a son and is truely grateful for the things that he has done for him.

A couple I really love is Ha Yi Chan and Yoon Cheong Ah there the epitome of what love looks like. Love is a language that need no words it is just something that you feel. So when I see yi chan and cheong ah you can just tell that it is love. From the way yi chan learned sign language so that cheong ah would feel just a littl less alone in the world. Or how he even sang a song using sign language so that cheong could feel include and so she could watch him performe just the two of them. There was also so just such a cute couple that some time it made me want to throw up. But then at the same time I envy their love and that being able to communicate with eachother didnt stop ether of them from falling in love. All of this aside their visual are just amazing like their actors are just so attractive.

Its just something about this show that bring out my love for kdramas. Here are some of my favorite quotes from this show “Here’s a thing about life. It may not give you everything you want. But it does hide a small present for you from time to time. I hope you can endure the cruel hardship life throws your way. So you can receive the present life has tucked away.” – Mr. Viva. another quote is “Everyone just goes on with their lives while giving meaning to their lives or trying to find meaning. They do their best to rationalize their lives.” – Ha Eun Gyeol.“ You connect the world filled with sounds with the world of silence, using your voice and hands. And at times, like you through music.” – Mr. Viva

If your thinking about watching just do ??

I literally stayed up all night to finish this show just so I could write my review on it. This show for me is something that I could watch over and over again. sadly I don't have the power to erase my memories so that I could rewatch this show all over again and experience it for the first time but if I did have this power I would use it in a heartbeat for this show. I don't care what anyone else thinks I love how the Main couple interacts with each other. I love the way that they love each other so deeply that I could only dream of someone loving me the way that Do Min Joon loves Cheon Song Yi and vice verse. even at the end of the show song yi still waits for Do Min Joon even though he keeps disappearing, she is always there waiting for the day he returns she cherishes the moments she has with him like every day is their last. "My Love from the Star" Is now one of my favorite shows it has so many of the troupes I like such as a famous lead character, and a calm male lead, and I really loved how the show was a melodrama. I already know some people might not like the ending but I loved the ending I feel as though it fits the storyline perfectly because even if Do Min Joon can't stay on earth for long periods of time Min Joon and Song Yi can still be together even if it just short periods of time because the two of them cherise each other so much it doesn't matter how much time as long and they get to speed it together they are happy.

Also, I really loved Song Yi's English phrase that she would randomly just say throughout the show it really added to the experience. I just really love the chemistry that the main actors had they really played the part. They literally had me crying with them during the final two episodes

School of horrors

Silenced is a South korean film released september 22 2011 Based on real life events. Silenced starts with the main character Kang In Ho who has moved to a new town to work at Gwangju Inhwa School for deaf children. Before he gets there he bumps into Seo Yoo Jin who gives her a ride to the school and tells him how she works with human rights organizations. When Kang In ho comes to the school he realizes that something is off about the students. From the way they would run away from him, or would avoid talking to him. When the students finally open up to him, he and yoo jin devotes himself to help the students receive their justice. “Silenced” being based on a true story makes it harder to figure out what the theme could possibly be. But the theme for this movie has to deal with injustice and the mistreatment of disabled people. The audience for this movie is for people 18 years and older. This movie contains graphic imagery of sexual assault and physical abuse . This movie was a heartbreaking watch, Knowing that this stuff happened in real life and that this movie doesn't even show the half of it. It hurt even more because you could feel the pain through the actors in this movies when they interact with each other. What is interesting about this is that after this movie was released it drew more attention to this case and caused public outrage. It even caused a change in laws and whole movements in South korea. This movie is such a moving piece on the insight on how humans can just be an absolute piece of shit. This description does not give them justice even worse than this. But this movie had me crying in the corner for minutes knowing that someone had to go through this and had to feel so small. But because of this reason I rate this movie a 10/10.

a rollercoaster of feelings

I didn't hate this show but I wouldn't watch this show again unless I was super bored. I wanted to love this show a lot more than I did. First off this show had one of my least favorite tropes in media and that is when the main couple end up breaking up a few episodes before the ending. But at the same time, I can't hate too much this show because it actually makes a lot of sense why they broke up and couldn't be together but that still didn't make it any easier to watch. Another thing I didn't like is how towards the end the writers of the story started to make the viewers feel more simply with Park Tae Joon's parents. Let's just be honest they were a bunch of assholes that played favoritism with their kid and even later on Park Tae Joon's mom had the audacity to tell Park Tae Joon that he couldn't date Park Tae Yang saying that he was a horrible brother because he didn't think about his sister. Even when Park Jun Young said that she made up with Park Tae Yang and that they were good the mom still tried to tell tae joon what he couldn't do like she never cared about him she only cared that it involved his sister. And so for the writers to just brush it off and try to give them a character development was a poor choice especially because it happened so quickly with no build-up to them getting better. The last thing I didn't like was the second couple. I wanted to like them but it killed me every time Lee Yoo Min would just chase after Yook Jung Hwan and he would just push her away and then when she started to let go he would just pull her back in. It was a game of push and pull with these two. And another thing that bugged me is that he would always bring up Park Jun Young when he was with her and I get it that was his first love and he loved her but if he wasn't ready to let go of her completely he shouldn't have got in a relationship with Yoo min. Yoo Min is a better woman than me because if Jung Hwan treated me the way he treated her I would have broken up with him so quickly you would have got dizzy.

But after talking about all the things I hate I have to say that I enjoyed the sports except for this show. That is the whole reason I started this even though I wish there was a little bit more sport and that we got to see who won the match at the end of the show. Also even though their relationship wasn't that long I love how they interacted with each other and that you could feel the love that they have for each other. So even though I didn't love this show as much as I wished I still enjoyed it and am glad that I watched it.

The Garden of life, death , and Love

*I would recommend that you watch this drama yourself and not be too swayed by the pool of negative reviews* But here is my review on Doom at your Service (2021)

Omg, I freaking love the drama I literally couldn't stop watching this show I had to force myself to slow down. First, I want to shoot out the artists that sang the ost in this drama. Every time I would hear them start singing The waterworks would immediately start to flow and I would start to sing along with the artist. Whoever created this show did a perfect job by getting the just right singer to sing in this drama. The songs felt as though they perfectly enhanced the scenes in the show; every time a song came on I knew without a doubt I would be crying by the end.

The chemistry of these actors is crazy It is rare that both the main and the secondary couple have chemistry but this drama makes it look so easy. It also helped that all the actors were really attractive (^v^) . They make you feel so invested in this character's storyline it makes you feel like you're living their life. When the characters felt sad I felt sad and when they were happy I was happy. And even though I never felt love like this before it felt as though I had experienced the joy and pain of Love. I feel myself relating to the female lead Tak Dong Kyung she is a lot like the except that she hides how she feels because she doesn't want to be a burden to her family and friends. But what I really loved about her is that even though she knew she was going to die soon she still thought about her family and tried to take care of them.

Maybe the genre of dramas is played out and maybe I didn't see enough of the drams to see that this isn't good. But I really enjoyed this show and I think that this show is in my top 10.

Death is not an end its just the beginning

Death is not an end it's just the beginning. Death is a thing that all humans end up experiencing, but that doesn't make it any less painful when it happens and this show perfectly encapsulates that. Because one thing that all humans have in common is death, from the highest in power to the homeless you pass in the street no one is above it.

I am still processing everything that went on in the last part. But one thing I know for sure is that everyone needs to see this show. The message of this show is so important and I hope more people realize. That they are important and that even if it doesn't feel like there is anyone there for you I promise you there is. I promise that someone will miss you when you're gone and that your life matters. It may not feel like it today or the next day but some day you will look back on your days and thank yourself for living to see what you could become. Living to see that there are people who love you and that there are people out there who will cry with you and make you feel so loved. Because one day you will feel so much joy that you couldn't even believe it was possible to.

This show really puts everything into perspective, for its only being 8 episodes it was still able to move me in a way that I don't think any other show has. From the stacked cast which has so many amazing actors and actresses. To the amazing performances that are produced in the span of a single episode. They did so good I couldn't put the show down for a second. Every scene was packed with information leaving the watcher to find out what happened keeping them attached to the very last moment. And let's not forget about the ending I did expect Choi Yi Jae to get a second chance at life But one thing I didn't expect was his mom to be his last life. The performance in the last episode was amazing I think I literally cried through the entire episode. It felt as though I was there to experience Yi jae mom living life without her son. Especially the last scene where she is just sitting in her wheelchair staring out into the vast field.

This drama really makes me thankful for the people I have near me. Because even though right now it doesn't feel as though I have people who will care if I'm gone. I know that my death won't solve my problems it will only leave the people I left behind in pain and misery. Because now I know that I have people in my life who would cry with me during difficult times

Here are some quotes I liked:

“People are happiest when they can truly be themselves. In the end, life would be meaningless if you can never really be yourself.”

“Isn’t that what you humans do? You care more about the thorn in your own finger than the knife inside someone else’s body.”

“The uneventful days when we walked together hand in hand. Those moments alone were more than enough reason to go on. Why hadn’t I realized it sooner?”

?

This shows cupid kitchen is absolute shit. Not a single character in this show is worth sitting through 40 episodes of the show. First, in the storyline with Elise Quentin, she poisons the male lead so that he would lose his taste because she was so in love with him. And then there was the guy who helped her hide the fact that she was poisoning the male lead and he did this because he was in love with her. Even though Elise told him that she was in love with the male lead. Second, the main lead was both so annoying. The male lead was annoying because he was always bashing the female lead. I get it I love to see a grumpy male lead in dramas more than anyone, but this man would just do this constantly degrade, and just say rudest things to the female lead. And the worst part is that he would act nice one day and then the next day he would go batshit crazy and go off on the female lead. And don't get me started on the female lead after all this would happen after he made her cry again for the millionth time she would end up forgiving him after he said a few nice was if any. This show has no reason to be 40 episodes of just pure garbage. I wanted to like this show it had to do with cooking and I love cooking but this show is just a disgrace. No amount of my favorite actors could fix this show it was just a bad show. The person who created this show needs to seek because this show was shit. I don't even remember what episode I left off on but the fact I started this and wasted minutes out of my day to watch this is sad

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS

I literally have five more episodes of this show but I can't go any further with this show. My main problem is the family connection between all the characters. because I am on Episode 15 and from what I keep hearing and seeing that cha Do Hyun is registered as the child of Min Seo Yun but then later we see a photo of Min Seo Yun and Oh Ri Jin when she was young so we are supposed to assume that that is her real mother. But if that is the case then that would mean Oh Ri Jin and Cha Do Hyun would be related because they have the same mom. but even if that is not true because we hear that Shin Hwa Ran is his actual mom he is just registered and someone else's child. even that would mean that Ri Jin shares the same father with Do Hyun and that would make them half-siblings. the thought of them being siblings and doing all the things they have done leading up to this point makes me want to throw up. ANOTHER THING that I didn't hear people talk about is that Ri Jin's "twin brother" Ri On is literally in love with her and it seems like people are ignoring that. like I know that there not actually related but they were raised as siblings, TWIN SIBLINGS at that, and for him to see her in a romantic light even when they go around calling each other brother and sister makes me want to throw up and cry. I literally wasted over 14 hours of my life watching a show people hyped up just to find out they are siblings and that they have kissed each other. These weren't the only things I disliked about this show but this was the big and main reason I dropped this show.

If I am wrong about this statement or if this stuff gets cleared up if I continue the show then please leave a message. but for now, I am not going to waste any more time on this show.
