Very bad script, So many things do not make any sense

I agree with most points in Enigma05's review. I am not going to repeat here.

If not for DYQ and LYS, I don't think I would have finished watching it.
The relationship between DYQ and WS just does not make sense. I felt it is in there only because the author probably think there needs to be a love story in any drama. How can they became a couple? They are in different worlds. One is western educated, the other is barely literate. DYQ does not want to be in the marshall world (江湖) while the other does not know anything beyond 江湖. What do they have in common? Even if they were childhood sweet hearts, I would not even call them sweet heart, merely childhood playmates. They have grown worlds apart. I don't believe a relationship without anything in common not to mention love. I don't see the chemistry in their acting as well.. It just feels odd to see them together.

Chu Feng Ling's change to that extremely evil is not believable. she started out as a kind and innocent girl and changed to such an evil person who is willing to sacrifice everybody just because she became power hungry. does not make any sense.

To have Luo Jiu Tian character in the show.and give him so much screen time is a joke. Described his feeling for WS as love is even more of a joke.

In the end how the hell did DYQ survive. Is it just because the ML cannot die or WS should not be a widow?

Watching the show was totally a waste of time. I would not recommend it to anybody.

The reason of my smile only for the couple interaction

It was so good from ep 1-8 then it add another "roller coster" plot twist every new ep
Until the viewer not focus on which one are the main problem
Divorce? Brain Tumor? Amnesia? Queens Bankrupt ?
Haein brother dead? The grandpa girlfriend motive
And the editor or writer just hoping the viewer glup and take it or leave it for 40 minutes redemtion arc
If the writer or director can show more and focus on divorce and just solve that brain tumor and focus on how the main lead love story more it would be better
Showing the past and present of their relationship
How he got shock on haein background, how the miscariage problem more detail
Now we only left with the visual ost and the top actor actress acting
As hard carry the whole show

The reason i watch is SooWon
Thanks for potraying kim ji won and kim soo hyun, if i rewatch it again i will skip of all the unecessary part
Villian arc, the extra story of muderer etc

What's the point?

I hadn't planned to watch this series, but when I saw the good ratings I wanted to give it a try.

Alas, the script is non-existent. The characters are flat and have no depth. It's supposed to be a light comedy, but only the lightness is there without the comedy, and the sound effects weigh it down. I'm not interested, so I'm giving up.

GMM has a hard time producing inventive series these days. The Thai BL industry in general has a similar problem. The Koreans are doing much better!

This story is Wild!

Many may not fully grasp the depth of this drama upon first viewing, but "Queen of Tears" encapsulates a poignant message: love means protecting those dear to us, regardless of their nature or station in life. This theme resonates powerfully throughout the narrative, particularly in the portrayal of a mother who forsakes her son in pursuit of wealth and influence which causes a problem for Baek Hyun Woo. The series serves as a poignant reminder that while wealth may be sought after, insatiable greed for it can exact a heavy toll, endangering not only one's own life but also the lives of those cherished.

Kim Soo Hyun's return to the screen as Baek Hyun Woo, the Attorney, marks a stellar performance, showcasing his acting prowess since his last appearance that I viewed him in 2020. As a dedicated follower of his work since his early guest roles in 2012, I've consistently admired his talent, and he doesn't disappoint in this role. Likewise, Kimin Ji Won, whom I adored as Tan Ya in the "Articles of Chronicles" series, delivers another remarkable performance as Hong Hai In, seamlessly embodying her character with echoes of her previous roles. Their contributions elevate the drama, leaving a lasting impression on viewers.

Enjoyable…

I enjoyed this series and I really like the ship. I was a little on the fence about this series when I first started it. I didn’t really like it until about episode 3 when I started to get into it. I liked the main couple and thought the actors had great chemistry with each other. The plot was there but at times it was lacking. I feel like the chemistry between the characters made up for it but it was still noticeable. I did enjoy it though and I liked the ending. I would love to see more with this ship but I recently heard that it is no longer a ship which is upsetting. I liked the series and it was good but it definitely had more potential in my opinion.

I would not have continue watching if not for both the main leads

-Full of emotional fluff
-Messy plot even though the story is basic
-Hong Hae In beautiful
-Repetitive and draggy
-Kim Soo Hyun is the same character in every single drama, not saying that he is a bad actor
-Not bad but not as good as the internet makes it to be
-Struggled to finish, the show peaked from episode 5-10
-If you keep lying nobody is gonna believe you, similarly if you keep crying nobody is going to feel sad anymore
-Lazy to write full length review because I know this show has a lot of fans and they are just gonna kill me for it
-Meh done, onto the next, won't miss this

one of GMMTV best…

I absolutely love this BL…like there is nothing bad to say about it. Even though the plot is simple, it had a twist on it to make it more appealing and interesting. I love the main couple since this relationship has so much character and chemistry so it makes it more enjoyable. Especially when it was airing, after every episode I felt like I always wanted more and couldn’t wait until the next episode. I also love that it has a GL element to the story, since at the time, GMMTV never really had that element before. The ending was really interesting and went beyond what I could’ve expected or imagined. It was really good and definitely one of my favs from GMMTV. I wish we could see more of OhmNanon since this is their one and only BL series together. They had so much chemistry and potential but I respect them and any decisions they made.

Never had a Kdrama left me so happy and so sad at the same time!

the Kdrama "Queen of Tears" truly touched my heart, bringing forth a mix of joy and sadness. It beautifully depicts the importance of cherishing loved ones, fostering family unity, sharing moments of laughter, tears, meals, love, and togetherness. Despite time passing quickly, the series delivers a powerful message about finding happiness in life's fleeting moments. I am genuinely thankful for the profound impact this show has had on me.

Cute…

I think this Taiwanese BL was very cute and I liked it more than I thought I was going to. I randomly started watching it on Youtube and next thing you know, I finished it in one night. It is very easy to watch and the plot is enjoyable. Definitely could’ve been better plot wise with more depth but it was still good. The characters all had their stories which made them more interesting and appealing. The plot was simple but easy to understand so it was never really confusing. The music was amazing for this drama, which is something that stood out to me when I was watch it. Overall, it is a good BL and I rated it highly because it was good and I would watch it again. It is an easy show to watch and it is very cute but does has moments where the plot does try to get more deep. I would recommend it if you need more Taiwanese BLs to watch.

The Ending ??

overall the series was nice and at times tear breaking but i think it faltered a bit at the end

Positives : Story

- the push and pull even though they were technically "married" in the first 1-10 episodes

- the family plot line in the middle of the series was cute and i loved that part in the whole entire series

- the forming of them falling in love once again

Negatives : Story

- should’ve been more back story on the family members, there was some but i wished we would’ve gotten some more

- last few episodes rushed .. also were unnecessary

- more kiss scenes ??

Acting :

the acting was amazing. the ml and fml did awesome but the supporting cast really did a awesome job as well !! i was really in awe which how the fml and ml did the emotional parts

Music :

the music was nothing specially if i’m being honest but my favorites i loved where the "the reasons of my smile" by BSS and "can’t get over you" by Paul Kim

Rewatch Value :

i’m not sure if i’d ever watch it again but it was cute for the first time but i think i’d only watch it after a few years so i can experience everything again

Overall:

i’d rate a 8, could’ve been better if it was not for the ending and some of the other things but it was a cute drama that had romance and lots of drama so of your a romance and drama kind of person you’d definitely love this and would recommend :))

( Erich Fried )

This poem sums up the essence of the series.
Ha Sang-Su and Ahn Su-Yeong fall in love at work. He a very gentle, cautious and responsible man and she, a woman insecure by traumas in her youth, who is very afraid of disappointment.
His feelings for Su-Yeong are so strong that Sang-Su opens his heart to her and confesses how he feels. However, due to her personal fears, she is so cautious that she rejects him for fear of disappointment. Nevertheless, her behavior signto him what feelings she also harbors. He remains touchingly persistent, yet stubborn and tries to win her over again and again, which unfortunately only reinforces her insecurities.
Despite the clear feelings they both have, she keeps her distance and keeps rejecting him.

The actors bring an incredible intensity to the screen. I felt for both of them and suffered with both of them.

In the end, both find a ruthless honesty with each other and confess their true feelings and realize which of their behaviors have blocked their love. It remains to be seen how it ends.

The soundtrack sensitively emphasizes the depth of feelings such as longing and despair.
This series is really thought-provoking and makes it impressively clear that love needs courage to be able to live it.

This one makes ME smile every time I watch

I don’t know anything about esports so I don’t know how accurate that portrayal was, but I enjoyed this one. It’s the most laugh out loud funny drama I have watched yet. I really enjoyed the banter between the leads. I have to knock it down a bit because the actor who plays the FL has the most wooden expression no matter what they are doing. It’s a bit off putting when they are supposed to be staring longingly in each other’s eyes and she just looks zoned out. This was my first time watching Xu Kai and I enjoyed his performance here. The secondary love story was also well done IMO. I could have done without some of the in game animation but the games themselves and how they affected the story line were interesting. The main love story was great with no break ups or separations. This is comfort watch at its finest and will definitely be one I revisit.

My Current Happy Drama

I tend to be wordy but I’ll try to calm it down. I’m in awe of this series so let me start.

Cast: Admittedly even good actors can do poorly in certain dramas. I think this one is well chosen.
Li Xian (Mai Dong) -i give him credit for choosing works that makes his acting credible. Seen him in go go squid and meet yourself. With this third one, he’s secured a spot in my top seven list of male Chinese actors. He brings out the character he plays so well you just admire it. He’s the cold, serious, never smiles mortician…until Jie.
Zhou Tong (Z Jie)- she’s already an incredible versatile actress with a colorful array or roles with big actors. She gets even better here. She’s unfiltered, unabashedly comfortable which makes her character so endearing. She has a handicap but doesn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams, and a love in MaiDong.
It would be too long to individually characterize the cast but trust me, they are all so good, from veterans to younger ones, they deliver deliver and bring a compelling story. The presentation of life’s real time happenings is adoptable, relatable, and meaningful.
Wan Peng (Xiaxia) has a minor role as bestie of Jie. Loved her in My girlfriend is an alien. Here’s she’s almost unrecognizable with her matured new (to me) look. Beautiful. (she still makes that twist with her mouth that tends to be annoying but but of well, it’s her signature quirk…ha).

What makes this one so unique is that the main guy is make up artist of the deceased. The portrayal of the handling of others loved ones makes me appreciate those who do these acts. Though reality is that not all morticians (we’ve heard and read of horror stories) are like this, at least we can feel that this type of work is artistry of the most cared. There’s so many thoughtful lines that goes along that gives us so much feels. Jie, through an early childhood accident carries a permanent leg imbalance. Because of it, she’s had to endure hardships but has managed to be successful in the big city, away from their small hometown (Jinping) where the pitiful and sneering eyes have made her vulnerable. It’s at Jinping though the story takes place. It’s the center too of the push and pull of leads and their budding relationship.

This is very well written, with themes around family dynamics, death, childhood scars, friendships. Relationships of grandparent and grandchild is highlighted. This duo, is so endearing. What great love for each other. Seasoned friendship of the elderly looks at that dynamic as well. It’s an all around great piece of work and acting with unbelievable beautiful cinematography. Wow it’s a beautiful area. There’s so many great liners to fill a book of inspirational quotes. (The subtitles are so good and kudos to the very timely subber. ) As for romance? You got to see it to believe it. Chemistry is sizzling real I’m piqued whether it’s just acting or real.

No it’s not finished, and it’s over halfway done. Whatever the outcome, as long as they stick to its theme, I’d be satisfied. This is a very good one. Truly.

EARTHMIX!!!

As you can tell by my name, I love EarthMix!! This is one of my favorite Thai BLs and it has my favorite ship in it (which makes it 1000 times better). The plot was amazing and definitely was different than what I was expecting. The characters all had personality and were interesting which is something I enjoyed. It had some emotional scenes towards the end which really pulled you into the story making it more enjoyable. I loved the main couple and just how cute and raw they were. GMMTV was really in their bag when they made this. Even though I watched this when it was airing, I still think it deserves a review (even though I am some years late). If you need a reason to watch this, please let this review be the reason. It is so goodddd and it is a good introduction into EarthMix!!
