Both dramas had stories around multiple couples and involved cohabitation. In LWF th cohabitation is with siblings, in the lovers, all couples live in the same apartment complex. The couples are also more offbeat than in traditional dramas. They better th have LGBT and noona romances.

While LWF focus is on the childhood connection and the misunderstanding that tore apart the main leads, MND is more about two people striking a deal (pretending to be together) in order to get people off of their back. Having said that, both shows share some commonalities, such as:
> The plots are light-hearted and not to be taken seriously.
> The characters are eccentric.
> Both show a love triangle involving two guys trying to get one girl.
> Family is an important component of the show.
> The leads don't like each other at first (hate to love trope).
> Leads develop a friendship.
> The FL doesn't care how she comes across.
> The ML suffers from a childhood trauma.

LwF is a kdrama so its storyline can get a little darker than PL, but it also deals with various mental health issues in a realistic way.
Both involve childhood incidents that cause eventual misunderstandings with repercussions. In LwF, the leads become obsessed with looks, in different ways; and in PL, the FL gets a strange illness.
LwF's characters are a little zany and over the top, but it's an entertaining watch.

Love with flaws also has a cute LGTBQ+ couple. It also deals with homosexuality with less of a conservative taboo response. One of the brothers is gay and runs a gay bar and no one really blinks an eye. He doesn't give a sh*t what anyone else thinks.

both Love with Flaws and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge have that basic "female lead hates beautiful people" kind of a story ;)

Both have representations of powerful women.
Both have a romance while the female lead works for the male lead.
Both feature gay characters with LWF having a super cute couple.
Similarly quirky, realistic characters, similar humor and awkwardness.

The secondary couple of both shows have a similar dynamic, in the sense that there's a role reversal with the Female Character (FL's older sister in True Beauty & ML's older sister in Love With Flaws) being proactively persuing her crush. They are also both successful Female Characters who enjoy being in charge.

Not exactly the same but they seem to have similar messages and character set-ups
- Both ML's were overweight in their younger days leading to self image issues
- Both ML's face psychological issues because of the FL's past rejection
- Both drama's feature a boss/employee relationship

- Both male leads have drastic appearance changes as they appear more handsome when they grew up, thus looks/appearance is one of the main theme in both dramas
- Both leads knew each other when they were children
- There is a boss and employee relationship in both dramas
- Both male leads are rich
- When they met up again after years, in both dramas, the leads start off on the wrong foot.

I believe that the overall atmosphere and mood is similar, along with the plot. Both dramas also follow the rich man and poor girl cliché and there is no villain.

Both are very funny romantic dramas that deals with office drama and have a secondary character, which is gay. Both have a great friendships between women and the cohabitation of a couple of friends. The male lead have one great friend also. Male and female lead are quirky and strange people.

Both dramas contain characters which work within a school environment. Whilst love with flaws is more lightheaded being a romantic comedy, black dog is more serious in detecting the issues faced within schools.

Both are love stories, which starts with two childhood sweethearts. He is the chubby one at first.. a misunderstanding.. causes them to believe they don't like each other and years later when he is slim and famous..
They discover their feelings again.

Both are basically the same story, but with reversed genders.

One of them was chubby.. the other one tried to confes (when they were in middle school), but the chubby one misunderstood the confesion as a mockery.. when the other one tried to clear the misunderstanding.. a terrible incident happened to his family and caused him a long-life trauma.

They re-unite years later to fall in lonpve again.
