What the everloving heck?

Okay, not my fav genre, but I thought I would give it a try. I think I've watched a fair amount of C-Dramas and comedies to tell if it's cultural or just bad acting...FL, just bad acting. It's almost like the facial expressions are there, but she lacks emotion behind it. At one point while leading up to a kiss, her eyes looked.dead. I wanted to tell the ML to run while he could.

FL character is selfish and immature, and maybe it's because of her loving parents, but I sincerely doubt it. Being a career woman, I can understand wanting to making it on your own, and being a chubby girl, I can understand a lack of self confidence navigating bad judgement. However, this was too much. The gurl is emotionally vacant and I real doubt I would enjoy a book she wrote.

ML may have bullied her, but he made up for it in so many ways. I did like when then would look at each other and seemed to have a conversation with eyebrows alone. ML was awesome with a better range of facial expressions and emotions.

Side "villains" were annoying. Why can't the ML just say I wouldn't take your hot mess even if I broke up with the FL. I guess that would defeat the purpose. I watch the entire thing until the end, but really just stuck it out because I was already invested. I hope to see the ML in another drama without the FL, and a better plot. I always wish there were more older ML. Too many Flower boys trigger my allergies.

I liked it, but...

Okay, acting, story and locations were fantastic. I loved the ML and FL, I felt bad for the SML, kinda and didn't warm up to the SFL. Leads friends were awesome and music was great. I kept playing in my head and I don't even speak Chinese. Only thing, only thing that really, really annoyed me was the French dubbing. It was really bad. Like i would've preferred closing my ears and eyes, but then I wouldn't be able to read the subtitles.

I love the FL quirkyness and the fact she knew what she wanted. She didn't drop who she is or striving to be just because she fell in love with the ML and hes rich. She was little to girly, but frankly, I actually met people like this. ML, wow. He's natural. I mean, you can see him really being Tang Ming Xuan. From what I've read about him (because I had to look him up), he is playing himself, to an extent. Together, I loved that it flowed, and after admitting their feelings, they trusted each other.

Awesome

I wish it was longer. No wonder it reminded me of Goblin. It had that outer world feel with great music, a unique and wonderful plot, that connects with every piece of the story.

Won't say the ending, but I'm hoping for a sequel. This story has so much potential, which I think the lack of episodes kinda left it feeling like more was needed. It would be great if it could connect to Goblin, since so many scenes were the same location and actors had the same vibe.

All actors are new faces, and I hope to see them in other dramas.
