Kayano Takayuki is from Oita Prefecture, but lives in Fukuoka Prefecture currently. He graduated from Kyushu University, department of Image Design and Faculty of Design. His film "Journey Across the Night" (2022), won the Excellent Film Award and Audience Award in the domestic competition feature category at the SKIP City International D-Cinema Film Festival 2021, and was screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
